Thea Guanzon has truly outdone herself!! I have been a fan of hers since she first started on AO3, so I was SO excited when she announced her first book. THW is every bit Reylo mixed with Filipino culture/setting and enemies to lovers that Thea is so great at writing!! It does take about 5-7 chapters to get the world building out of the way, but it’s worth it to dive into Talasyn & Alaric’s story. The banter, sexual tension, and Filipino influence are my favorite parts (plus every reference to Alaric looking like Adam Driver🤤). The Hurricane Wars is out now, so run to your bookstore and get it!

Oh I am ECSTATIC. It’s cathartic and a sense of fair karma after years of being treated absolutely horribly and inhumanely by the hell fandom of the cursed space wizards franchise. Years of love and passion and creativity and reading and comprehension of myth and narratives and writing are paying off, while years of harassing us and telling us to k-word ourselves is paying jack shit. It’s what we and y'all deserve. Fuck the Storm Worms fandom and long live the Reylos.

i'm sick but like all the other reylos my copy of @theaguanzon's The Hurricane Wars came in today :))) as someone who read landscape im so excited and so happy for her and the asian rep

AND i brought home the other two for free baby! my physical tbr is so huge and I have a Libby borrow I need to get through but fall is the season to read

i hope no one would be terribly bored if I talked about published books every now and then - its the first time in years I'm not taking any english lit classes and i need to talk books somewhereee

Seriously though, words cannot express how happy I am to have this book! LWABOC is my all time favorite story (I have to convince myself constantly to not keep rereading it because I know if I did I would never get anything done; which really doesn't sound that bad, I'm sure that would be my best life actually lol), and there is no doubt in my mind that The Hurricanes Wars is going to be an absolute masterpiece, as well! And I got the B&N's exclusive addition and those maps are so beautiful *all the chef's kisses*

Also the fact that it sits on my shelf with novels written by other Reylo authors is astounding to me. I have been reading Reylo fanfic since TFA era, and the talent of this fandom's authors is immense, so it just totally leaves me in awe that I get to have and enjoy their published works. It's insane in the very best of ways, like Reylos just keep winning and I love that for us lol
